The first automated ridge vents contained all types of expensive and troublesome "wizardry" that included cables,
pulleys, winches, and lineal actuators. Then, the idea of using air compressors came along. Farmers realized these
automated ridgevents were nothing more than an automated nightmare! They knew here must be an easier way.
After many discussions with producers like yourself, JanAire designed a new RidgeVent that met your needs.
Simplicity & Automation
JanAire introduced the bladder controlled RidgeVent, an inflatable vinyl/nylon tube secured within a ridged frame.
The bladder controlled Ridgevent maximizes natural ventilation and installs easily.
The bladder itself is made of a heavy duty 22oz. vinyl/nylon material. Designed for many years of trouble free operation.
JanAire RidgeVents are available in our standard 5", 10", and 15" widths.
How Does the JanAire RidgeVent Work?
A thermostatically controlled blower keeps the RidgeVent bladder inflated to maintain optimal interior conditions.
When the thermostat says ventilation is required, the inflation blower turns off and the deflation blower turns on. This
deflates the RidgeVent bladder and allows excess "bad" air to rise freely through the ridge opening, creating natural
ventilation inside your building.
